One Arab Visa: The Future of Seamless Arab Travel

One Arab Visa: The Future of Seamless Arab Travel

Imagine boarding a flight in Casablanca, exploring the souks of Marrakech, then hopping to Dubai’s skyscrapers, and ending your journey under the stars in Petra — all on a single visa.

This isn’t a dream. It’s the “One Arab Visa” initiative — a flagship project of the Arab Union for Tourism Development and Integration (AUTDI).

Why It Matters

Arab countries welcomed over 100 million international visitors in 2024, yet intra-Arab travel remains below 15%. Complex visa systems, fragmented policies, and lack of coordination are the biggest barriers.

AUTDI is changing that.

The Vision

Launched under Objective #5 of AUTDI’s charter, the One Arab Visa concept aims to:

  • Unify entry requirements across member states
  • Launch a digital Arab e-Visa platform by 2027
  • Reduce visa processing time to under 48 hours
  • Boost regional tourism GDP by 25% by 2030

Progress So Far

  • Pilot program launched between Jordan, UAE, and Bahrain (2024)
  • Harmonized data-sharing agreement signed by 12 member states
  • UNWTO-backed feasibility study published in 2025

What’s Next?

AUTDI is now working with UNWTO, IATA, and regional airlines to integrate the system into global distribution platforms. A full rollout is targeted for 2028, starting with GCC + Levant + North Africa clusters.

“A unified visa isn’t just about travel — it’s about identity, economy, and shared prosperity.”AUTDI Secretary-General

For Travelers & Businesses

  • Tourists: One application, endless destinations
  • Airlines & Hotels: Predictable demand, higher occupancy
  • Youth & SMEs: New cross-border business opportunities

AUTDI invites governments, private sector leaders, and citizens to support this historic step toward Destination Arabia.
